Himalaya Helicopter Expedition!

Literally One of the Greatest Adventures on Earth

Mountaineers call the highest mountains in the world achttausenders, German for “eight-thousanders”: mountains over 8,000 meters (26,247 feet) high. There are 14 of them on the Roof of the World (nowhere else) and they are the most magnificent mountains on earth. To be in the presence of any one of them is a life-memorable experience: you will go to 8.

Founder of Wheeler Expeditions Dr. Jack Wheeler, named by The Wall Street Journal ‘The Real Indiana Jones’, personally designed this expedition to give you the experience of a lifetime.

Join us and experience the glory and majesty of the Himalayas…

Everest

To trek to Everest Base Camp, it would take you nearly two weeks — with us, flying through the Himalayas on mountain rescue helicopters such as the Eurocopter AS 350 B3, we’ll be there in one morning. You’ll see astounding views of Everest no trekker ever sees, and when we reach the base camp you’ll meet with mountaineers about to make an attempt for the summit.

Hidden Kingdom of Lo

Next to the border of Chinese Tibet lies the Hidden Kingdom of Lo. The people of Lo are Tibetans who retain the last vestiges of traditional Tibetan life on earth, unchanged for centuries. Closed to all foreigners until recently, it takes trekkers two weeks to get there and back, walking on yak trails at 12,000 feet or higher. We have been given an exclusive permit to fly our helicopters to the capital of Lo, the Walled City of Lo Manthang.
